The Freedom Iconic phone pouch is just such an innovation. A hybrid purse and handbag design, the main feature is a front pouch to house your phone for quick access when needed.
The large “purse” is a zip-around design with an internal zipper pocket for coins; multiple credit card slots and divider sections for bills and receipts; RFID-enabled. It can be used as a clutch quite easily but probably more suited to day events.
If you want to go hands-free, attach the adjustable shoulder sling strap to wear over a single shoulder or as a crossbody on the front of your hip.
