Terms and Conditions for Luggage Warehouse Black Friday Week Promotion

1. Promotion Period

The promotion runs from 00:00 on 25th November to 23:59 on 1st December (the “Promotion Period”).

2. Eligibility

a. The promotion is open to all residents of South Africa aged 18 years or older at the time of entry.

b. Employees of Luggage Warehouse, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.

3. How to Enter

a. To enter the promotion, customers must make a purchase of R500 or more (excluding any discounts or vouchers) at any Luggage Warehouse store or on the Luggage Warehouse website during the Promotion Period.

b. Each qualifying purchase constitutes one entry into the promotion. Multiple entries are allowed.

4. Prize

a. One standalone return economy class ticket from South Africa to Zanzibar up to a maximum value of R9,000.

b. The prize covers airfare only. Accommodation, meals, travel insurance, visas, and any other expenses are the responsibility of the winner.

c. The prize cannot be used to subsidize package holidays, group deals, or any other travel arrangements. Luggage Warehouse will not contribute towards any package deals or partial payments; the prize is strictly for the standalone flight ticket only.

d. The winner must travel between 1st December and 28th February, subject to flight availability.

e. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be sold or auctioned. It cannot be exchanged for cash, except as provided in clause 4(f).

f. The winner may opt to receive a cash alternative of R4,500 in lieu of the ticket.

5. Winner Selection and Notification

a. The winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries within 7 days after the Promotion Period ends.

b. The draw will be conducted under the supervision of an independent auditor or authorized personnel.

c. The winner will be notified via email and/or telephone using the contact details provided at the time of purchase.

d. If the winner cannot be contacted within 7 days of the first attempt, or fails to comply with any of these Terms and Conditions, Luggage Warehouse reserves the right to disqualify the winner and select an alternative winner.

6. Prize Claim

a. The winner must confirm acceptance of the prize within 7 days of notification.

b. The winner may be required to provide proof of identity and purchase.

c. Details for booking the flight will be coordinated directly with the winner.

7. Booking Process

a. Luggage Warehouse and a registered travel agent will handle the booking of the flight.

b. The travel agent will assist the winner in booking their flight, including coordinating if the winner wishes to book additional tickets for a partner or family members at the winner’s own expense.

c. All flight bookings are subject to availability and airline terms and conditions.

d. The winner is responsible for any additional costs incurred beyond the R9,000 prize limit, including but not limited to upgrades, additional tickets, travel agent fees, or changes to the booking.

8. General Conditions

a. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

b. Luggage Warehouse reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entries and disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or violates these terms.

c. Luggage Warehouse reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the promotion if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond its reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the promotion.

9. Privacy

a. Personal information collected from entrants will be used by Luggage Warehouse solely for the purposes of administering the promotion and will not be disclosed to third parties without the entrant’s prior consent, except as required by law.

10. Limitation of Liability

a. Luggage Warehouse and its affiliates shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from participation in the promotion or from the acceptance or use of the prize.

b. Luggage Warehouse is not responsible for any travel delays, cancellations, or disruptions.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.

12. Publicity

a. By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to participate in reasonable publicity related to the promotion, including the use of their name and photograph in promotional materials, without additional compensation.

13. Taxes and Expenses

a. Any taxes, duties, or surcharges arising from the acceptance of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

14. Acceptance of Terms

By participating in the promotion, entrants fully and unconditionally agree to and accept these Terms and Conditions.

15. Travel Requirements

a. The winner is responsible for ensuring they have a valid passport and any necessary visas or travel documents required for travel to Zanzibar.

b. Luggage Warehouse will not be responsible for any costs associated with obtaining travel documents.

16. Amendments

a. Luggage Warehouse reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon being posted on the Luggage Warehouse website.

17. Severability

a. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be severed, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Addendums:

Prevention of Multiple Split Purchases for Maximizing Entries

1. No Multiple Entries from Split Purchases:

• Customers are strictly prohibited from splitting a single purchase into multiple smaller transactions for the purpose of obtaining additional entries into the competition.

• All purchases made by a customer during the promotional period will be aggregated, and only one entry will be allowed per customer, regardless of the number of individual transactions made.

2. Purchase Monitoring:

• Luggage Warehouse reserves the right to review and consolidate purchases made by a single customer using the same account, email, delivery address, or payment method. If any abuse of this rule is detected, Luggage Warehouse may disqualify the individual from the competition without prior notice.

3. Fair Participation:

• This clause is intended to ensure fair participation for all customers. Any attempts to exploit the system by making multiple low-value purchases to gain extra entries will result in disqualification.

2. Bonus Entry Opportunities:

• Customers will have various opportunities to earn bonus entries into the competition through special promotions, such as signing up for the Luggage Warehouse newsletter or participating in social media engagement activities. These bonus entries will be clearly communicated through Luggage Warehouse’s promotional channels.
