Klapproof Guarantee – Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the Klapproof Guarantee (“Guarantee”) offered by Luggage Warehouse (Pty) Ltd (“Luggage Warehouse”, “we”, “us”, “our”) to customers (“you”, “your”) who purchase qualifying products and subscribe to the Guarantee.
By purchasing a Klapproof subscription and/or submitting a claim under the Guarantee, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Scope of the Guarantee

1.1. The Klapproof Guarantee provides coverage for accidental damage sustained by qualifying luggage products that materially impairs their functionality, including but not limited to:
● Wheel, handle, lock, or zip malfunction

● Cracks or structural breakage of the luggage shell

1.2. The Guarantee does not cover:
● Cosmetic damage, including scratches, scuffs, stains, or dents not affecting performance

● Damage to the contents of the luggage

● Loss or theft of the product

● Damage of repairs outside the Republic of South Africa

● Transfer of the Guarantee to any third party or subsequent purchaser

2. Guarantee Duration and Fees

2.1. The Guarantee is available for a period of:
● 12 (twelve) months from date of purchase, for a fee of R199 (incl. VAT)

● 24 (twenty-four) months from date of purchase, for a fee of R299 (incl. VAT)

2.2. The Guarantee term commences on the date of original purchase of the qualifying product and the associated subscription.

3. Eligible Products

3.1. The Guarantee applies exclusively to the following product ranges, as designated by Luggage Warehouse:
● BG Berlin Zip2

● BG Berlin Soda

● BG Berlin Enduro 2.0 PP

3.2. Luggage Warehouse reserves the right to amend or expand the list of qualifying products at its discretion.

4. Claim Procedure

4.1. Claims may be initiated by:
● Visiting any participating Luggage Warehouse retail store with the damaged product; or

● Submitting a claim request online via the designated email address ([email protected]) including the order number and any photographic evidence of the damage.

4.2. Verification of Guarantee registration and inspection of the damage is required prior to approval of repair or replacement.
4.3. Customers are required to retain and submit proof of purchase upon request.

5. Repair and Replacement

5.1. Luggage Warehouse shall, in its sole discretion, determine whether the product is to be:
● Repaired using available original or compatible parts; or

● Replaced with the same model, or if unavailable, an equivalent model of similar value and functionality.

5.2. In cases where colour-matching or exact components are not available, the customer may be offered:
● Import of replacement parts (subject to a lead time)

● A loan unit for temporary use during repair

● An alternative model from the KlapProof-approved range

● A product of similar value from general inventory (if no Klapproof replacement is suitable), which shall void the remainder of the Guarantee period

5.3. Once a product is replaced, the damaged item becomes the property of Luggage Warehouse and will not be returned.

6. Logistics and Associated Charges

6.1. Customers may deliver and collect their luggage from Luggage Warehouse stores at no cost.
6.2. Should the customer require collection or delivery from/to their premises, fees will apply based on the item’s size, weight, and location. A written quote shall be provided in advance.
6.3. Payment of applicable charges must be made by electronic funds transfer (EFT) prior to service.

7. Registration and Validity

7.1. To activate the Guarantee, customers must complete registration at the time of purchase via:
● Online checkout (automatic registration); or

● In-store QR code form submission with supporting purchase documentation

7.2. Failure to register the product may render the Guarantee void.

8. Exclusions and Limitations

8.1. The Guarantee is non-transferable and applicable only within the Republic of South Africa.
8.2. Luggage Warehouse shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the product or delays in repair.
8.3. The Guarantee operates independently of any statutory warranties or manufacturer’s warranties which may apply to the product.

9. General

9.1. Luggage Warehouse reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be made available on our official website.
9.2. This Guarantee is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of South African courts.
